Sylvester Stallone born as Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone on July 6th, 1946 in New York City is an outstanding American actor, director, screenwriter and producer. He was one of the most successful action-oriented actors in Hollywood during early 1970s to 1990s.
Sylvester Stallone was born to Jackie Stallone nee Jacqueline Labofish, an astrologer, dancer and promoter of women's wrestling, Frank Stallone Sr, hairdresser. Sylvester Stallone, who is of Italian-American descent, grew up in Northeast Philadelphia. He studied at the American College of Switzerland in Leysin, and the University of Miami for three years and dropped out of the college when he came close to a few credit hours of graduation, to pursue a career in acting. However, he got his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the University of Miami in 1999 after his acting repertoire has been accepted in place of his unfinished credits.
Sylvester Stallone began his acting career with a film "The Party at Kitty and Stud's" in 1970. Sylvester Stallone acted in several movies before finally getting worldwide acclaim for his tremendous performance in "Rocky" {1976} which became a smash hit. He was even nominated for an Oscar Award. Rocky Balboa, the character in "Rocky" became part of the American cultural lexicon along with another character John Rambo, the soldier who takes on dangerous rescue missions in "First Blood" {1982}. Rocky has five sequels while Rambo has three. All of which have become smash hits. The iconic characters Rocky and Rambo at the end of the decade garnered billions of dollars worldwide.
Outside United States, in other countries the macho actor Sylvester Stallone is either known as Rocky or Rambo despite his critically acclaimed performances in several movies like "Cop Land" {1997}, his own directorial movie "Paradise Alley" {1978}, and "Escape to Victory" {1981}, "Nighthawks" {1981}, "Cobra" {1986} and "Tango and Cash" {1989}. He has also appeared in a few television series such as "police Story", "Kojak" and "Las Vegas". Amidst his macho roles, Sylvester Stallone the powerful screenwriter has been relegated into the shadows of Rocky and Rambo. He got little recognition as a screenwriter. He has so far written and co-written nearly twenty movies of which most of them have become smash hits.
Sylvester Stallone has entered into marriage three times. He first married Sasha Czach in 1974 and divorced her in 1985. The couple together has two children. Next he was married to Brigitte Nielsen from 1985 to 1987. He then married Jennifer Flavin in 1977, with who he has three children. The hot macho actor has also had several romantic relationships with models Naomi Campbell, Janice Dickinson, Angie Everhart, and Susan Anton.
